• Christmas Pantomime - 'Cinderella'

  Our fantastic PTA very kindly paid for a pantomime of 'Cinderella' as a wonderful Christmas treat for all of the children at Normandy School. There were two performances with pupils in EYFS and KS1 attending the first performance, followed by a second performance to KS2 pupils. The children thoroughly enjoyed the pantomime (Oh no they didn't...Oh yes they did!) and it was so lovely to see all of the children laughing, smiling and having fun whilst the performances took place.

   

  Daisy in Year 2 said "It was fantastic and good because the actors worked so hard and they wanted to share it with us children".

   

  Laurianne in Year 4 said "It was really funny and I liked the characters costumes. I also liked that they asked us what our best Christmas joke was".

   

  A huge thank you to 'Panto In A Day' who provided us with such a wonderful and engaging performance for the children.

   

  

• Christmas Concert

  Our wonderful choir sang beautifully to an audience of KS2 pupils and parents at our annual Christmas Concert. They were a delight to watch and really got us all in the festive spirit. Thank you to the PTA who provided refreshments and to Mrs Lowe and Miss Williams, our choir teachers for all their hard work. Well done Normandy Choir!

  

• Normandy Choir at Bexleyheath Town Centre

  Our brilliant choir went along to Bexleyheath Town Centre this morning to perform Christmas songs to the local community and raise money for the Demelza charity. They performed really well in front of the large crowd and did themselves and Normandy proud.

  

• Christmas Dinner

  Independent Catering served up a delicious feast of roast turkey and all the trimmings to the majority of pupils (and staff) on Wednesday lunchtime. The dining tables were decorated beautifully with festive tablecloths and crackers for the children whilst they listened to Christmas music playing in the background. It was wonderful to see so many staff members enjoying a festive feast in the dinner hall with the children and seeing everybody getting into the festive mood. Thank you to Independent Catering for providing such a wonderful Christmas lunch. Delicious!

  

• KS1 Nativity 'A Present for the Baby'

  Key Stage 1 children performed their nativity 'A Present for the Baby' on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. The children coped so well with performing in front of such large audiences and it was wonderful to see them shine on stage. It was a fantastic performance and we are immensely proud of all of the children. Thank you to all of you who have helped the children learn lines, songs and provided us with some fabulous costumes.

   

  We received some fantastic feedback with one parent commenting "I really enjoyed the KS1 nativity this afternoon. Even though I was seated at the back of the hall, I could hear every single word spoken and sung by the children. It was great to see so many smile son faces - the children have clearly enjoyed putting this production together".

  

• EYFS Nativity 'Christmas Counts'

  Early Years performed their nativity 'Christmas Counts' on Tuesday to two sell out audiences in the morning and the afternoon. They performed beautifully and their singing impressed the audience who watched on proudly. The children were superb, as we knew they would be. Well done to all of the children and a huge thank you to all of those who have helped the children to learn lines and made fantastic costumes.
