Who's who?

Head of School

Ms A Aujla

I have always aspired to be a teacher since the age of 7 years old. I love to embrace the creative element of teaching and learning, seeing children make progress from their starting points, regardless of their need is the most rewarding part of my role. I am equally as passionate about diversity and inclusion, and fortunate enough to be in a role where I can make a real difference in children’s lives and promote an inclusive culture where every child feels valued as a unique individual.

As a leader I’m committed to providing excellence everyday by supporting staff and children to become the best versions of themselves.

I feel privileged and proud to work at Fairford, it’s like a family unit; a happy supportive inclusive school where everybody has the opportunity to flourish. No matter where you go, you are guaranteed to hear laughter and see smiles from staff and children around the school. We work hard and maintain high expectations, whilst creating lasting memories and having fun along the way.

Deputy Head - Mrs L Reynolds

I wanted to work with children to try and make a difference, I find it really rewarding and satisfying to see what an impact you can have on someone else. I am patient, calm and always listen with  good communication skills and use a restorative approach.  I feel there are very few professions that will provide such  a personal  sense of achievement, its important to me to have a lasting impression on the children.

I really enjoy working at Fairford Academy it always has a warm welcome, and has  a positive learning environment..  High expectations are set for all the children and staff and a belief that every child matters.

Assistant Head Teacher - Mr C Guilford

I always wanted to be a teacher – I just didn’t know it.  I always enjoyed training staff and seeing people develop.  So, some what later than most, I went to university and trained to be a Primary School Teacher.  It has been the best decision I have made.  Being a Primary School Teacher really enables you to have a positive impact on children’s lives.  Our job is about giving the children every opportunity to learn new skills, gain knowledge and develop personally in a positive and enjoyable way everyday.  This is why I enjoy working at Fairford, my beliefs align with the ethos of the school.  Children here are greeted by dedicated professionals, who are given the opportunity to teach the curriculum to ALL children and in ways that are suitable to each of them giving them every opportunity to feel successful every day.  Fairford is a community where teachers want to teach and children love learning.

Assistant Head Teacher - Mrs  S Graham

My Career working in Education has not been as Teacher but working with children with SEMH. I have worked both in mainstream school and in Pupil Referral Units, working with pupils/parents and external agencies to ensure that the pupil gets a fully inclusive education that meets their needs whether it be in a mainstream school or a specialist setting.

I really enjoy working at Fairford Academy as it is always welcoming to both pupils and parents and has a positive learning environment with a curriculum that offers wider experiences for all pupils. The school staff team are committed to the Ethos of the school and ensuring Inclusion for all pupils through Restorative Practices as set out in our Behaviour and Relationships Policy.

Assistant Head Teacher - Ms S Maldon

I wanted to become a teacher since I can remember and after I finished my A Levels, I went on to study Primary Education at the University of Greenwich. The idea of shaping young minds and contributing to their development excited me, as I believe education is the foundation for a better future. I am inspired by the thought of making a positive impact on students' lives, guiding them to discover their potential, and fostering a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. This is inevitably why I love working at Fairford. The ethos and values held by the school align with my own and put children at the heart of everything we do. Fairford creates a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children feel safe, valued, and motivated to explore and grow making everyday a unique and fulfilling experience.

English Lead - Miss C Garrett

I am now in my 8th year of teaching and Fairford has offered me many exciting opportunities to develop my career. The school has a child centred approach to teaching which means that teachers and pupils foster fantastic relationships in the setting. The supportive atmosphere means that I have never felt afraid to be creative when suggesting ideas and developing my own role. Fairford has also taught me a great deal about proactive ways to manage behaviour, as well as effectively adapt my teaching to a wide range of SEND need.

Maths Lead - Mr S Lilley

Passion and enthusiasm fuel my love for teaching. I wanted to be a teacher to provide children with memorable learning experiences and knowledge that they can carry forward with them through life. Fairford Academy underpins this through the ‘Excellence Every Day’ value which runs throughout the school. We have the potential and the power to make children great and make a difference every single day. The children at Fairford resemble this belief and show passion and enthusiasm throughout their learning.

Science Lead - Mr D Awofisan

From a young age, I've always been passionate about learning and sharing knowledge, which eventually made me want to pursue a career in teaching. Something that will never get old is seeing a pupil's eyes light up when they grasp a new concept, as it is incredibly rewarding.Working at Fairford Academy has strengthened my passion for teaching. The children here are enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn, creating an inspiring and dynamic classroom environment. Their unique perspectives and energy make every day different and very much exciting and I feel lucky to be part of their learning journey. The sense of community and mutual respect at Fairford enhances the teaching experience, making it a place where both students and teachers thrive.
