Come and meet the staff at our school!

    Dr Jess Mahdavi-Gladwell

    Deputy Head and SENCO

After spending 10 years teaching psychology at University, I decided to become a teacher. I trained as a primary maths specialist and have experience of teaching across the curriculum, of being a SENCO and of school leadership in both primary and secondary schools. I spent the last few years working in Pupil Referral Units with children who were not able to access mainstream education. This background experience brought me to Fairford where I am proud to be part of a team which welcomes, supports and celebrates each child.

I am committed to inclusion, working to ensure children can access mainstream education where possible and ensuring they are able to access the correct provision where mainstream is not the best setting. My background in child development leads me to seek understanding of why children find school difficult and to work to address the underlying difficulties. I particularly enjoy working with families and it is a privilege to join this school community.
